Amanda Carine Barbosa Rodrigues, who has a 1-year-old son with Gatti, is a former stripper. She has been charged in Gatti’s death.
The wife of late boxer Arturo Gatti has been charged by Brazilian police with the death of her husband!
Former stripper Amanda Carine Barbosa Rodrigues has been charged with murdering Gatti in his sleep by choking the former junior welterweight champion with her purse strap!!!!
Absolutely horrible.
The couple were in the middle of their second honeymoon at the Dorisol Resort in Porto de Galinhas.
23-year-old Rodrigues in the only suspect in the case – her purse was found by police with blood stains all over it and when questioned by Brazilian cops, Rodrigues’ story was “inconsistent and incoherent.”
The former exotic dancer “could not explain how she had spent nearly 10 hours in the room without noticing that Gatti was dead,” according to police.
Gatti and Rodrigues’ relationship was full of dramz, to say the least. According to friends, “the relationship was not based on love” and “it could get violent at times.” Rodrigues even threw a lamp at Gatti on a recent vacation, according to Gatti’s manager, Pat Lynch.
There are also reports that Gatti chided his wife for dressing too sexily when they went to her homeland and that she would get insanely jealous if he spoke with or flirted with other women.
Local police are carefully testing a bloody purse strap found near where Gatti was found, They said the floor around him was bloody and that he appeared to have been hit in the back of the head and then strangled.
Like McNair, Gatti’s end may have come while he slept off a booze binge. His wife said they had argued in a bar on Friday night and the hard partying former fighter returned to the hotel quite drunk.

I never knew napping could be so dangerous.
Everyone who knew and observed Gatti knew he was a devil may care type who loved his drink and frequently visited topless bars.

… Jackson’s dermatologist said he never gave the singer dangerous sedatives, although he acknowledged he had sedated him in the past for painful medical procedures. “I was not one of the doctors who participated in giving him overdoses of drugs or too much of anything,” Dr. Arnold Klein said in an interview on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” “How am I going to prescribe Diprivan when I don’t know how to use it?”
Kate Walsh marriage woes
Alex Young, estranged husband of “Private Practice” actress Kate Walsh, won a court battle Wednesday against ABC when a judge ruled that Stephen McPherson, president of the network, must answer questions on Walsh’s financial prospects at ABC. Walsh is embroiled in a not-so-private divorce from Young. ABC says it and the actress are being harassed by Young.
LiLo misses out
Do we really need more proof of Lindsay Lohan’s questionable decision-making skills? Turns out La Lohan passed up the role of the stripper in the big summer hit “The Hangover.” Usmagazine.com reports that director Todd Phillips and Lohan share an agent, who campaigned for the role on her behalf. Phillips agreed to consider her, but then Lohan didn’t like the script.
BT: “I’m bringing strippers to our table.”
Bass: “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right?”
BT: “The draft is in Montreal.”
Bass: “Uh oh. Well then our bill is going to be a lot higher than I thought it was.”
BT: “It’s okay. If we spend too much money, the NHL will just bail us out, like they did with the Coyotes.”
Bass: “That’s a good assumption.”
BT: ”I hope Phoenix folds before the draft; I mean, what money would they use to sign their draft picks anyways? Besides, the ‘Yotes top draft pick will probably break down and cry once he’s drafted because of the destruction of his hockey career.”
Ken Armer was named the Director of Hockey Operations for the Gamblers, but was unable to make the trip.
…
Bass: “No, the stripper. She is definitely going to make a difference.”
The match, which went on for too long, saw hospital staff, doctors, nurses and cleaners, glued to their televisions, while patients were left to die. It was the same in police stations where victims of murder had to fill in their own paperwork and criminals were left to get away with murder. Even fire fighters refused to pick up the phone and it is thought that this caused The Great Fire Of London.
Figures from the Department of Death, suggest that the amount of people who died during the match could be as many as 3 million but that it was probably lower and may well be in the region of 7 or 8 people or less.
“Tennis is our national game for a couple of weeks”, said Sue Barker – BBC’s Wimbledon anchor. “The rest of the time it’s either A Question Of Sport or Countdown – but not since Carol Vorderman left to become a prostitute.”
AND THE GOOD DECISION-MAKING CONTINUES: Lindsay Lohan is reportedly reeling after turning down a role in the hit comedy “The Hangover” because she believed the script had “no potential.”
Well, at least she still has “… uh “… well, we’ll have to get back to you.
The star has struggled to land work in Hollywood since her days as Disney’s golden girl following her wild-partying ways and arrests for driving under the influence. She was reprimanded by movie bosses on 2006’s “Georgia Rule” for “irresponsible and unprofessional” behavior that landed her in the tabloids.
But director Todd Phillips reportedly was set to take a risk on Lohan by asking her to play stripper Jade in his bachelor party movie. However, Lohan wasn’t impressed by the film’s screenplay and rejected the part, which eventually went to Heather Graham, according to Us Weekly.
It details some of the famously decadent parties that Mr Laliberté financed with the proceeds of his business empire, which currently controls 18 shows in dozens of countries, and supports almost 4,000 employees, including hundreds of the world’s most talented dancers and acrobats.
During the parties, global business leaders, politicians, and Hollywood stars were entertained by Cirque du Soleil performers, and provided with millions of dollars of fine food and wine. Author Ian Halperin, who quotes dozens of former guests, details heroic displays of debauchery. “Everything you wanted was available at Guy’s parties,” said Myra Jones, a Milan-based fashion model who attended several of the events. “Drugs, the best music spun by famous DJs flown in from Europe and the USA, and the wildest sex you could ever imagine.”
The book claims that Laliberté’s assistants invited busloads of prostitutes from his native Montreal to the parties, which were attended by the likes of Robert DeNiro and Sir Paul McCartney. Mere B-list guests were required to sign a confidentiality agreement before attending.
To get inside, you push through a gaggle of tough-talking strippers on a smoke break and through the music and black lights filtering from their ground floor establishment.
Up a flight of stairs with one wall covered in framed posters for fetish shows and into a room with gold flourishes, mirrors and a picture of Marilyn on the wall.
It’s got that look of a bar in the daylight hours, like an aging actress caught with no makeup.
…
He estimates the revenue they bring Zoumboulakis, who’s been offered $2.5 million from the SDA, is only a small percentage of the profit made on VLTs and the ground floor strip club.
“Will we stop a project for a strip club?” he asked. “I hope that’s not where Montreal is at.”
