On April 9, Montreal police released two other videos that captured the images of two men believed to have been the gunmen in the double slaying. Police said they obtained new information through releasing the video.
No arrests have been made in the investigation. But last month Montreal police released information, during a hearing before Quebec’s liquor board, in which they stated they feared Richard Goodridge, 41, a former associate of Joseph, could become the target of reprisals in the Flawnego shooting.
Police believed someone would be the target in a shooting similar to what happened at the clothing boutique.
Gang members loyal to Goodridge are believed to have held a meeting at the strip bar the night after the shooting at Flawnego.
Goodridge is alleged to have become a silent partner in a strip club in 2008 along with members of the Montreal Mafia.

The violence is real but mainly confined to three large cities in northern Mexico bordering the U.S. They are Ciudad Juarez — across the Rio Grande river from El Paso, Texas — Nogales, just south of Phoenix, Ariz., and Tijuana, not far from San Diego, Calif. All are drug and human trafficking (for prostitution and illegal emigration) entry points.

Tired of all this Dallas Stars talk that’s been dominating the airwaves? Here’s a welcome change of pace.
Good morning, hockey fans! Here’s hoping you bet the farm on Jaroslav Halak’s 0-9 record when facing 25 or fewer shots this postseason, and became rich beyond any easily-impressed GM’s wildest dreams. Last week we took science and reason and twisted them to our own nefarious purposes to prove Only-God-Knows-What; this week, I was planning on taking a break from the media circus surrounding the Dallas Stars and getting in a little R&R at my favorite rural Illinois strip club,
Phat Cows, but recent events in el mundo de hockey stayed my course. Of course, I’m talking about the historic Stanley Cup Finals matchup between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Philadelphia Flyers, two teams whose last Stanley Cup victories can be measured in geologic terms.

At this point, I really didn’t know what the situation with Bret was. My feeling was that Vince wanted to get the title off him. His contract was taxing the companyway too much if he wasn’t going to be the man. I didn’t know where Steve Austin was in his talks with Vince. I’m sure they already had an idea of where they were going long-range. The ideal situation for Steve was to win the title from a white-hot heel. Bret certainly wasn’t one. I, on the other hand, was there. It made sense to me that Vince would want to put the title on me and then have Steve beat me.”
At this point, the WWF was starting to change the company’s direction to be a more adult oriented product. Bret wasn’t happy with the new company philosophy. He was so unhappy that he no longer allowed his children to watch the RAW telecasts.

For 35 years, sex workers, dancers and drag queens have flocked to Cafe Cleopatra, a veritable underground cultural attraction and one of the last remnants of Montreal’s legendary red light district on Saint Laurent Boulevard.
But now the cabaret faces expropriation and demolition by a real estate promotor aiming to build modern offices for Hydro-Quebec, the province’s powerful utility company.
The promotor, Angus Development Corp, wants to clean up an area quickly becoming a hub for more politically correct cultural expression, such as the Francofolies music festival and the Montreal International Jazz Festival.
But the cabaret’s owner, Johnny Zoumboulakis, has dug in his heels, and is refusing to sell the club despite offers of more than a million dollars and new premises.

Jean-Francois Mary, who works for Cactus, an association that helps marginalized individuals in Montreal, deplored the moves to transform the historic red light district.

The stocky, head-shaven Claude Larouche, 48, stood in the prisoner’s dock as the date for the preliminary hearing in the first-degree murder case was set as Oct. 18.
Cournoyer’s body was found in October in Pointe aux Trembles among bushes lining the shores of the St. Lawrence River.
The Laval woman, a 37-year-old Correctional Service of Canada employee, was killed between Sept. 20 and Oct. 6, the charge indicated. She had last been seen alive leaving her Laval office building after working late.
Video recordings taken outside the office building and DNA evidence from “several samples” are the crown’s core evidence, prosecutor Éliane Perreault said.
Larouche has also been arraigned on a charge of attempted murder in a second case, in which a prostitute was attacked Oct. 17 at her home in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve district.
